  1. I found this article very interesting because of the idea behind it. This article takes everyday things and makes you think about them more in depth and look at a deeper meaning behind them. The two things in this article that I found to be the most interesting were the Big Mac and the Blue Jeans. I would have never thought into all the ingredients of a Big Mac that much. But once I read the portion of the article I really thought about it. The portion of the article about the Blue Jeans had the same affect on me. It made me realize that we never stop and think about all the things in our daily life because they are so easy for us to access that we don’t have to. We go through life overlooking the process by which something is made and the roots of the things we have in our everyday life. Like with the Big Mac, I had no idea the roots to each part of the hamburger went so deep and came from all over the world. No one would ever think that the Renaissance, ancient Greeks, and Ancient Africa would all have effects on a fast food hamburger that we don’t consider to be good food but junk food. Not knowing anything about the food we eat everyday and the clothes we wear everyday and even things we use everyday its easy for us to take all this for granted. We don’t appreciate everything that has gone into making life the way it is today and I believe we need to take a step back and appreciate how much technology we have and how far we have come.
